Book Bonanza: Unleashing the Autumn Literary Avalanche!
A book bonanza literary avalanche coming this autumn
Let’s start with a lovely little ‘book bonanza’ list to start this literary avalanche. My Autumn 2024 plan includes,
Echoes of Ballard House by E. Denise Billups (a Coffee & Thorn book tour review)
Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherworld by Heather Fawcett. Loved the first one and looking forward to diving back into Emily Wilde’s worlds.
The Wager: a tale of shipwreck, mutiny, and murder by David Grann. This is a research read to get a feel for seafaring under sail.
Once and Future King by T. H. White. I haven’t read an Arthurian story for ages, and it used to be my favourite, so thought I’d jump back in with this one. Also, I’m planning an article on Tennyson and Mallory (and T. H. White) later in the year.
And some Terry Pratchett (haven’t decided which yet).
There’ll be more titles to add to the list, too. I joined a book club last year so there’s another three right there. I also have everything I didn’t get to last year (let’s not go there though) plus research and impulse reads. I’m pleased with this list as it stands though. Four are fantasy, one is nonfiction, and one is psychological. A delightful mix.
What’s everyone else reading this Autumn (or Spring if you’re in the northern hemisphere)?
How many books do you hope to knock over by winter? Any good recommendations?
So many books! So little time!
